Stockholm Goddess Festival

Dear Friends
The first Goddess Festival in Stockholm is growing into reality...

Festival: Monday 12th - Wednesday 15th of August 2012
Fringes: Saturday night 10th, Sunday 11th – and Thursday 16th August
Place: Långholmens Folkhögskola – in the middle of Stockholm and yet close to wild nature and bathing beach.

30-40 people have sent their wishes to participate in the program in different ways with all kinds of wonderful things. We are a small group of four people who organize the festival and we call our group “Terra Mater”. We want to create a meeting place for all of us who want to have fun, who want to follow the circles of nature, the rhythms of the body, who want to take inspiration from the ancient cultures and from cultures to-day that have very different ideas of what is cool and worth living for other than hierarchies, ruling and competing…

The Goddess Festival is for us who want to dance, talk together, laugh, be curious, want to listen without and within and share with one another. All of us who want to spiral in excitement, twine together, interweave, make nets and get them together with strong knots. All of us who links to the wonderful earth we live on Mother Earth.

Everybody is welcome!
Warm goddess greetings
Terra Mater

Goddess Gathering 2012

Intentional Listening and Connection to the Land

Friday 27th April - Sunday 29th April

For the third year, the team at Gaia’s Garden is delighted to host the Goddess Gathering at the end of April. Previous Gatherings have provided an opportunity for women to hold deep discussions about the meanings and beliefs they hold about Goddess spirituality and practice.

The third annual Goddess Gathering is an opportunity for women to explore their Goddess spirituality in a supportive environment. This year we will also be visiting some sacred sites close to Melbourne. We will be posting more about the Gathering in the next couple of weeks. This year we invite you to join us in an experience of intentional listening which will deepen our understanding of this unique place and connection with Goddess in Australia.

The Gathering commences on Friday 27th April at 6:00pm and concludes 4:00pm Sunday 29th April.
Cost: $120 to cover food and other expenses.
Accommodation: can be arranged in billets in the local Goddess community.

Seven Sisters Festival

A new energy is emerging and we are being called to gather amongst our sisters…

The Seven Sisters Festival is an intimate weekend festival allowing women time and space to gather together to learn, heal and celebrate our feminine Nature. It’s an opportunity for us to connect with other women, the earth and ourselves. A time to celebrate and explore the cycles, rhythms and stages of being a woman; a time to learn from elders and prominent female leaders in ancient and modern practices which promote embodiment, wellness and empowerment.

It’s a space for women to share our unique stories and experiences and reclaim a sense of love and honour for ourselves and our bodies. As well as release stress, indulge creative urges and discover our inner truths and missions.

The festival will cover a wide range of workshops in singing, vocal expression, dance, movement, meditation, yoga, art therapy, birth, fertility, sacred sexuality, menopause and menstruation.

It will also celebrate female artists and musicians, host a wisdom tent for discussions and stories, a ritual space to mark endings and beginnings and a healing area to provide nourishment for those in need.

When: 23-25 March
Where: Moira Park Scout Camp, Kialla West, VIC

Goddess Journey in Ireland 2012

17 - 26 August 2012

Are you looking to explore ways of connecting with the Divine Feminine? The Goddess Journey in Ireland 2012 is for any woman interested in exploring her Goddess spirituality in new ways, new settings and with a group of like minded women. Ireland, the magical land of Celtic Mythology and ancient sites is home to many Goddesses: Boanne, the guardian of the Boyne Valley; Maeve the Goddess of Sovereignty and the sacred site of Tara; Brìghde, the keeper of the sacred flame and Cailleach, the ancient Hag Goddess.

The journey will take us to Sacred Sites including Newgrange, the Castleruddery Stone Circle and Tara. We will also visit places of natural beauty and spiritual powers including the Crystal Path in Glendalough, the Living Flame of Bridgid in Kildare and the Seat of the Ancient Hag in Loughcrew. There will be guided meditations, Shamanic journeys to the Goddess, chanting and rituals. There will also be time for your own personal exploration of the sites and space for personal rituals (either on your own or supported by the group). The creation of handmade artefacts and symbols has been part of the spiritual process for thousands of years. We will follow this path using felting and beading to create unique items of power and ritual.
